ERP Game Server Status

Jul-14-2003 1:48 PM I submitted 2 priority restore tickets, and the site should be back up very shortly.
Jul-14-2003 5:54 AM Just to keep you updated on progress so far regarding the Zirconium server restore: - Ensim server restore completed - Updates/patches installed - Bugs found while testing - resolving (Work-in-progress) - Data backup/restore in progress (approx 4 hours). The data backup from the previous HDD is a priority and we are making sure that this has been safely completed before continuing. Once complete, the next step will be to begin recreating sites/user accounts. Expect further updates as they come in.
Jul-13-2003 3:53 PM Server restore continues - this involved installing a new HDD and transferring website + MySQL database data from the old HDD. As there is a lot of manual work involved this is expected to take approx 24 hours for all sites to be back up and running. Thanks for your patience.
Jul-13-2003 9:55 AM  Due to the nature of the recent server hack, a server restore is required and is currently work-in-progress. Although the server may respond to ping and httpd requests, the full restore will take some time to complete while we patch/update & restore as necessary. We will keep you all posted here at the Portal with further updates. Thank you for your patience.
Jul-12-2003 11:43 PM  The server has been taken offline (by our service provider) as a precaution for launching fragmented packet attack on 200.181.**.**. A rogue user / hacker has gained control of the server and is using it for this purpose. The data centre server team are working on resolving this hack presently and we will keep you informed of progress when relevant news arrives. We do hope that you will understand that this action was necessary to prevent further abuse of the server. We will do our utmost to keep the service interruption to a minimum.

Thanks, Phil Keogh, site & server admin. MSN: pkeogh@compusoftcs.com
